Why you need tactile labels

Tactile labels

Put simply the definition of ‘tactile’ is ‘of or connected with the sense of touch’.  By law any substances readily available to the public categorised as toxic, very toxic, harmful, extremely flammable or corrosive, and any aerosol propelled by butane, are to display a tactile warning label.

Not only are the majority of tactile labels bright in colour they also display a braille like reading.  This aids the blind or partially sighted to understand that they are near to or are handling a potentially dangerous product.  Our tactile labels here at Etiquette are made in accordance with the European Standard BS EN ISO 11683: 1997 and are supplied with 2,500 on the reel: this enables configuration for either hand or labelling machine application.
