As the UK experts in labels and labelling we operate some of the fastest plain label presses in the industry which incorporate the full range of core sizes from 19mm right through to 76mm cores with turret rewinding systems built-in to ensure the most efficient running of large volumes and to ensure that we produce the very best quality labels that money can buy. Our presses produce high quality labels compatible with industry leading printers including both Thermal Transfer and Direct Thermal.

If you are unsure of the differences between thermal transfer printing and direct thermal here is a quick overview:

Thermal Transfer:

Thermal transfer labels use a ribbon to produce an image, text and even barcodes and come in a variety of different colours, so you don’t have to use just black. There are three main types of ribbons which are wax, wax resin and resin. A thermal transfer ribbon can be used on different types of materials such as paper, film and foil.

Direct Thermal:

Direct thermal labels are usually used for shipping labels, receipts and in the food industry. Direct thermal printers require the use of heat activated thermal paper and film and do not require the need of a thermal transfer ribbon. The life span of a direct thermal label is usually less than 1 year.
