Label dispensers
are devices built to make easy the tasks of working with rolls of labels.
They are designed to group the rolls and dispense the labels one by one,
peeling them off their sticky paper. Basically there are two big groups of
dispensers, manual and electric ones. The first group is completely
mechanical and has no sophisticated devices. Normally, manual
label
dispensers are designed to work with people. On the other hand, electric
dispensers have various electrical gadgets, like all sorts of sensors and
electric engines. Electric
label dispensers of course are much more
expensive than their manual counterparts. Electric dispensers are designed
to work in industrial applications where precision and speed is of utmost
relevance. This kind of dispensers can work before the printers to provide
them with labels continually and without interruption. Rolls of labels run
uninterruptedly from the dispensers to the printers. These applications are
normally found on printing corporations of barcode labels. They normally
print the barcode labels for thousands of manufactured products and sell the
printed labels. To do this, they need to print the labels continually to
obtain an optimal performance of their hardware. This is why they need the
label dispensers.
Companies that need to print labels just from time to time normally do not
invest in dispensers because it would be a pointless expense. Electric
label dispensers
are also useful because they
measure tension on the rolls of labels, thus avoiding the roll to suffer
from breakouts when the printers retrieve them. This is very important to
maintain a continuous printing operation, because delays cost a lot. The
cost is not exactly in the materials to be replaced but in the time that
takes for those items to be replaced and have the total printing line back
to work again. This is why companies invest in tools to avoid these issues. |
