Combine this with a 300 dpi print resolution and print speeds of 4 inches per second and it is evident the CLP 8301 Citizen Printers
are one of the leaders in their class.

As with other Citizen Printers in the range the CLP8301 has been designed from its initial inception to provide the end user with reliability and ease-of-use and to ensure this it is fitted with an innovative Hi-Lift™ Printhead Mechanism. This all-metal constructed printhead can be raised open to a 90º angle allowing the operator to easily clean and service the machine. Printer downtime is also reduced due to improved media loading. Further adding to the ease-of-use benefits of the CLP 8301 Citizen Printer are the colour-coded operator levers within the printer that provide cues to make media and ribbon loading simplicity itself. If printer footprint is an issue in your print application, the CLP 8301 Citizen Printers have a Hi-Open™ clamshell case that opens and closes safely to provide the operator with front-end access. This means ribbons and media can be changed without the need to move the printer.

When using wide format media it is important to ensure high quality, clear printing and the CLP 8301 Citizen Printer supports its 8 inch print width by allowing many mechanical adjustments to the printhead. Adjustments to ribbon tension ensures wrinkle free usage and eliminates the associated problems such as rubbing and ribbon slippage resulting in mis-positioning of text.

Pallet Labelling - Wide format labels are widely used in many markets, in particularly general logistics and the motor industry. CLP 8301 Citizen Printers can be used to print ODETTE, SSCC, and AIAG etc labels on pallets of goods shipped by truck or container

Chemical Drum Labelling - Using labels with pre-printed coloured boxes, the CLP 8301 Citizen Printer will overprint the details of drum contents and mandatory warning signs on a drum by drum basis.

Laser Printer Replacement - The CLP 8301 Citizen Printer can be used as a continuous laser replacement printer for delivery notes and picking lists in warehouses. In these harsh working environments laser printers often become casualties to dust and dirt but the CLP 8301 is robust and has a rugged all-metal construction designed to cope with these conditions. Further functionality for this application is provided by the optional 'tear-wait' or 'autocutter' features. The 'tear-wait' model has an additional sensor on the front of the printer which causes the printer to wait until the printed media has been torn away.
